Menands – Richard P. Hillman, Jr., 52, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 26, 2022. Born in Vineland, NJ he is the son of the late Richard and Suzanne (McGrath)Hillman, Sr.
Rich worked for Price Chopper on Hoosick St. in Troy for more than 25 years and then returned to school and received his Associates degree form Hudson Valley in 2014. He would go on to work as an I.T. Specialist for Deep Blue which later became Comcast until his passing. Rich loved biking, reading, listening to music, puzzles and building Legos. He was an avid Star Wars fan and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Rich is survived by his siblings, Chris (Margaret Perugini) Hillman, Amy (Walt) DeWitt, Scott Hillman and Heather Reina; his nieces, Allison Hillman, Vivian Hillman and Emily DeWitt; and his nephews, Nick Reina, Christopher Reina and William Hillman. He was further survived by his Uncle Thomas J McGrath 2nd (Nancy deceased), Aunt Jean McGrath (John deceased), Uncle Donald (Sharon) Hillman, Aunt Nancy Hillman (Susan Cavanaugh Cholet). He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rich on Saturday April 30th at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd. in Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church prior to the Mass from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Burial will be private to the family at a later date.
