Luis J. Melendez

Luis J. Melendez 56, of Watt St., entered into eternal life on May 7, 2020 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. 

He was born August 21, 1963, in San Juan, Puerto Rico the son of the late Eduardo  Melendez and Carmen  Nater . He was employed as a cabinet maker for many years until becoming disabled. He is a member of Puerta De Bendicion Church in Schenectady.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a son Luis A. Melendez.

Survivors include his loving wife whom he married July 13, 1980 Blanca E. Oquendo, two sons; Luis J. and Luis E. Melendez, one daughter;  Bianca Hernandez, several brothers and sisters; Abigail, Eduardo, Merari, Ruthy, Abel, Hiram, Saul, Betzaida, Priscila , Lissie and Eduardito. 10 grandchildren and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Cremation will take place at the Parkview Crematory. 

Due to the COVID 19 virus pandemic ,the services are limited to the family.
