Joseph H. Thibodeau Jr.

Dateline Halfmoon, New York Joseph H. Thibodeau, Jr. 88, of Vale Drive died peacefully at his home after a short illness. Joe was born in Green Island, New York. He was the son of the late Joseph H Thibodeau Sr and Pauline Stranahan. Growing up in Green Island, Joe attended Heatly School. He was employed for over 40 years as a quality leader for the Bendix Corporation in Green Island, New York. Joe enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and being with his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Sheila Luce Thibodeau for 63 years. Survivors include his children, Joseph H Thibodeau (Deedee), of Cohoes, New York, Duane E. Thibodeau (Dawn) of Mechanicville, New York and Danielle M. Thibodeau (Ronald) of Halfmoon, New York. He is the grandfather to Stephen ( Nicole) DeVoe & Connor (Sara) DeVoe of Clifton Park & Merrisa Thibodeau of Mechanicville, NY. Great grandfather to Primula Rose DeVoe, Evelyn Aurora DeVoe, Riadan James Thibodeau and Selene Thibodeau. Joe is also survived by his brother Gerald (Sharon) Thibodeau of Jacksonville Beach Florida, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings Paul & Edward Thibodeau of Cohoes, Robert & Justine Thibodeau of Green Island, John Howard Thibodeau of Albany and lastly, Joyce Ann Kovalasky of Troy. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 1 PM at the Phillip J. Brendese Funeral Home 133 Broad Street, Waterford, New York. Calling hours be held from 11 to 1 prior to the service.
