Mallissa was the sibling to sisters that she loved dearly, Markedia “Kita” Macon, Audrey Hines - Sharif, and Donna Norwood. Mallissa was the dearest Aunt to Ethel Singletary, KiKi Shropshire, William (Will) Shropshire (and family), Zamier Oliver, Jasmine Oliver, Christopher Oliver, Isaiah Oliver, Kwon Oliver, Aneisha Dobbs-Simms (and family), Dustin Hines (and family), Tiffany Hines,Gammen Knight, Tirae Knight, Tishawn Knight, and Donnaisha Knight. Special mention long time BFF/Sister Stacy Jenkins and a god mother to Nasir,Troy, and Santana. Chucky, Cameisha Tolbert, and Stacy Truelland her nephew Shawn “Pop” Watkins. In addition, Mallissa will leave several other paternal siblings, great Neighbors from Manhattan Street, host of family and friends to cherish her memories.
Mallissa successfully graduated from New Mexico Job Corp with Trades in Culinary & Security. She worked as a Security Officer for Virginia News and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Villa Mary Immaculate in Albany, New York. She loved spades, Facebook, taking care of her Grandsons, Kit’s dressings/fish Frys, Ethels Bake Macaroni & cheese, oxtails, Williams Collard Greens, the color burgundy, ID channel, celebrity reality television, music, candles, decorating her home, shopping online, talking on the phone, and gift boxes from Audrey in Atlanta. She loved being a special aunt to all her Nieces and Nephews; she did whatever was needed to help take care of them. She was known as Ma to a multitude of people, always giving even when she didn't have. She provided shelter to many in need with open arms, and open heart. She was no joke; who spoke her mind – “I said what I said” type of person, and a Queen to her family.
Mallissa transcended on our mother’s birthday 12/29; we are confident, Laura met her and walked her through the gates of heaven saying, “It is what it is - come with me my daughter, for I shall take away your suffering.” AND she wouldn't have it any other way. We will miss our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and beloved Friend!! Her Sound advice, sense of humor, her strength, and her courage.

Revelation 21:4
