Brent L. Gageway

Brent Lyle Gageway, 69, peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, July 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Brent was born in Troy on November 14, 1954 to the late Margaret Katsky and Leo Gageway.

Brent attended Hoosick Falls Central school as and was employed by the workshop in Menands in and the center for disability services Albany in Glenville for over 40 years. Brent loved to bake and routinely brought in pies and cakes for his many friends to enjoy. he also enjoyed weekly bowling as a member of the clever pin spotter. Brent was a very caring person, keeping in touch with his many relatives and friends, and always remembering their birthdays with cards and letters. Brent was an avid Mets fan and also attended many musical concerts with his nephews. He was a very kind hearted, friendly individual touching many lives. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam for the excellent care Brent received during the last few weeks of his life, especially Evan and Renee, in addition to his parents, Brent is survived by his loving brothers Allen (Norleen) Gageway of Schenectady and Mark (Jean) Gageway of Wynantskill. Predeceased by brother Leo Gageway. also survived by his niece, Jacqueline, and great nephews Derek, Joshua and Joey.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Clever Pin Spotters bowling league care of Cheryl Alan 672 Feura Bush Rd., Delmar, NY 12054.
